Situated in the heart of old Cahors, in one of the city's most historic streets, this charming apartment welcomes you for a stay just steps away from Saint-Étienne Cathedral, medieval alleyways, and the banks of the Lot.
Access to the apartment is on foot from Place de la Libération, 50 meters away. The entrance hall leads to a wooden staircase that also dates back to the 12th century. The apartment is No. 4 and is located on the first floor.
The accommodationThe accommodation combines historic charm with modern comfort: a warm living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a unique atmosphere created by exposed stone and beams.
Bed linen, bath towels, shower gel, shampoo, and a few coffee machine capsules (Dolce Gusto) are at your disposal.
The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 people, but can accommodate 2 additional guests on the sofa bed.
Sleeping areasThe mezzanine: a sloping roof space featuring a first double bed (140 cm) enhanced by a magnificent old brick arch. Separated by a privacy curtain, a second double bed (140 cm) completes the space (sloping ceiling, please be careful: several foreheads have met these beams!).
The living room: a sofa bed equipped with a genuine comfortable mattress, ideal for accommodating two extra travelers (adults or children).
ParkingThe apartment is located in the heart of the historic center, on Rue du Château du Roi, where it is not possible to park directly outside the accommodation.
For free parking, we recommend the spaces located along the Lot river, just outside the paid parking zone. They are located a few minutes' walk from the building. A guide to accessible parking lots will be sent to you by email a few days before your arrival.
To drop off your luggage, you can of course drive as close as possible to the accommodation, for example on Place de la Libération, before going to park your vehicle.
Good to knowHere, everything is done on foot: forget the car and let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of Cahors, between lively terraces, local restaurants, traditional markets, and walks along the water.
At the moment, the accommodation does not yet have Wi-Fi, as fiber optic internet has not yet been installed in the building, but we hope this will be finalized during the month of November.
Le Château du Roi is a peaceful break in the heart of the city, allowing you to fully enjoy everything around you.
